Agent Office: free 3D office that tells you which Claude Code chat needs you
You commented DESKS — here's everything from the video.
Agent Office is a free, open-source (MIT) 3D office for coding agents such as Claude Code. Every agent is a worker at a desk with its live terminal on a laptop, and a red beacon, a banner and an alarm tell you which one is waiting for you.
Set it up
- Check what you need
Node.js 20 or newer, git, the GitHub CLI (signed in with gh auth login) and at least one coding agent CLI, such as Claude Code, signed in on the same machine.
- Install and start it
Run the installer in a terminal. It puts an agent-office command on your PATH and opens the office in your browser.
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AgentSystemLabs/agent-office/main/install.sh | bash - Pick your first project
The first start walks you through where to clone projects and which GitHub repo to open as the first floor. You can press Enter to skip and use the elevator in the office later.
- Hire a worker
Walk to an empty desk and press E, then choose Claude Code (or another agent). Its live terminal shows on the laptop in front of it.
- Wait for the red light
When a worker stops to ask you something, a red beacon lights over its desk, a banner names who is waiting, and an alarm sounds. Press N to go straight to that worker.
Good to know
- The README says Agent Office is a work in progress built around one person's workflow, and that it changes fast with breaking changes between releases.
- It listens only on your own computer by default (127.0.0.1).
- Agent Office is free; any agent you hire still uses your own Claude Code or other agent account. Facts are from the README on 9 October 2026.
